Vote "Yes" Boston Public Schools Capital Loan Order

Hi People who live or have families in Boston : )

I hope all of you are well. As some of you know, I try to get the word out on votes that impact BPS. Wednesday May 23rd,  there is a critical city council vote - I think at 11 or noon - for a Capital Loan Order that would bring much needed repairs to many schools. Olivia is now at Boston Arts Academy in a building horribly below code  - an elevator dropped recently with a kid in it - they've been waiting over ten years for this vote / repairs.  The building is unsafe and they can't get national arts high school accreditation because of it. They have a waiting list of 600+ students and hold classes in hallways and closets.

Several councilors are going to vote against  building repairs because of some political issues with an elementary school and hold repairs for all BPS schools, 55,000 students hostage to politics.

I am writing tonight to to ask, if you happen to agree, if you have five minutes tomorrow to call or email councilors and ask them to support the Capital Loan Order so there can be building repairs to the city schools  - and also commit to a viable public arts high school which serves students from every neighborhood.

Thanks so much for your time, feel free to forward this,
have a good night,
Lisa

.*** Councilors that have said they will vote against the capital loan order are: Frank Baker, Tito Jackson, Ayanna Pressley, Felix Arroyo  Mike Ross and Charles Yancy. Please contact them first.
